Improved compatibility on Windows 7 for DirectX 10 applications and 3D games ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- R5.4 offers increased compatibility and performance for DirectX 10 games and applications run on DisplayLink displays. Support for NVIDIA Optimus and Intel/ATI switchable graphics ------------------------------------------------------------ R5.4 further extends the support for switchable GPU platforms fixing known issues and improving the compatibility on NVIDIA Optimus and Intel/ATI switchable graphics systems. Support for applications using DDC/CI monitor communication ----------------------------------------------------------- Some third party applications, for example color correction software, use the DDC API to communicate with monitors. The R5.4 drivers enable DDC/CI communication with monitors connected through a DisplayLink device on Windows 7 and Vista. Improved application compatibility on Windows XP ------------------------------------------------ The DisplayLink drivers on Windows XP when used in Extend mode provide better compatibility with certain applications, for example Skype. Performance optimizations for ultra low power CPUs (CULV) --------------------------------------------------------- Further specific optimizations for ultra low power CPUs (CULV) bringing improved graphics performance E. Known Issues and Limitations =============================== System behaviour with DisplayLink attached screens has been well tested. Testing covers plug/unplug, mode changes, playing video, hibernate, sleep/standby, multiple users, different user rights, attached screen as primary screen, attached screen as only screen, and other aspects. Some use cases my exhibit minor issues, general troubleshooting recommendations are: - detach then reattach the DisplayLink device's USB cable - change display settings using DL-GUI (Vista only) - change display settings using WDP. - ensure you have the latest graphics drivers installed for your system GPU.
