Q: Scanner disconnects after Locked Scanner Message.

Unlock the Lock button on the bottom of the scanner, then recycle the scanner by turning the scanner power off for approximately one minute, then turning the power back on.

Q: With Windows 2000 cannot scan with button bar or by depressing a button.

Right click the scanner icon in the windows taskbar. Choose configure to open the button configuration window. Click on the Button Preferences icon to open the general preferences. On the General tab deselect Show Status Window.

Q: Multi-page scanning

If you scan multiple pages into applications such as Microsoft Paint, multiple instances of the application will open. The application must support multiple images open at the same time.

Q: New printer doesn't show up in the destination list

Open the OneTouch configure application. Click the Scan tab. Select PaperPort as the destination application. Click the options button in the lower left corner. Select "Yes" to the dialog requesting to update the destination list.

Q: The scanner cancel button doesn't work.

Some computers have slow USB port transfer speeds. While a scan is taking place the cancel command can't be sent to the scanner.

Q: Out of memory scanning multi-page using copy/print button.

If you are scanning 24bit color at high dpi you may receive an out of memory error. This is a normal condition since you are transferring large amounts of data. Make sure there are no other applications running and add more RAM if possible.

Q: Multi-Cropped image scanning to TextBridge Pro.

When using Scan Manager with TextBridge Pro scanning multiple cropped areas at same time is not possible. You must scan one crop area at a time.

Visioneer Scanners are sensitive electronic devices. Static electricity can damage the components inside the scanner if precautions are not taken. Do not touch the HOST terminal on the back of the scanner with your finger or any other object, while the power is on.
